"I am getting kind of hungry," Daphne answered as her stomach growled in unison at the mention of food. She stood upright and wiggled her shoulders until the weight of the backpack settled.

She walked to the spot where Lily pointed and looked around for a moment, scanning back and forth.

"You're right about that, Lil. It's barely a deer trail; still it's the first actual path we've seen in a while," she assented. She took a deep breathe and exhaled loudly.
