I just want to add something as far as the connection between internet predators and sexual roleplays.
Sexual conversations with minors over the internet is, in fact, illegal. Whether or not it's illegal where you come from isn't the point, it's illegal in most parts of the world and that's why Menewsha has to uphold the law.
In my own experience, I used to roleplay very mature things when I was a minor and through that I met an older man who ended up being sexually abusive. Granted, that's probably the worst case scenario, but as an impressionable kid, it's easy for some old pervert to get their kicks out of a sexual roleplay with a minor. In my experience, the police actually used me and my abuser's roleplay emails as evidence against him, because that basically counts as "sexting" which is also illegal for minors. Our graphically sexual roleplays were basically a gateway to him getting connected with me and him taking advantage of me.
That is why they have the rules, to protect others. It's not because we're trying to hide them from seeing sexual content, it's to protect minors from getting into dangerous situations with selfish adults and frankly, I love that they have this rule set in place and I'm glad Menewsha continues to enforce it.
I do want to let you know that you can have a successful RP without graphic details.
There are many amazing books and stories written out there today that have been popular for generations that don't involve graphic sexual content.
In fact, I believe the best stories are written without sex and violence as it's main focus. The beauty in RPing here, in my opinion, is that you're basically writing and illustrating a story with another person. This makes it great for character development, plot progression and illustrating settings.
There's more to stories than just sex and violence.
