When I have a cold, I try to rest as much as I can, drink a lot of water, maybe even hot beverages like tea. I like to eat grapefruit or oranges, or drink emergen-c, whatever is on hand that has vitamin C which supposedly boosts the immune system (or if it doesn't, definitely adds a placebo effect at least). I try to have lots of tissues on hand. And throat lozenges in lemon flavor if my throat is sore as well.
