July 27, 2016 - Hips Don't Lie



Today's song of the day is Hips Don't Lie by Shakira featuring Wyclef Jean https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DUT5rEU6pqM&index=279. This is an oldie but a goodie. Like the song in my previous entry, the lyrics are also in both Spanish and English. I love how catchy this song is. But interestingly enough, there is also a message behind this song if you really listen to the lyrics. Just looking at the cover art for the CD reminds me of how old this song is, because back in the day there would be lots of CDs being advertised in the flyers and that is how a lot of us got our music. We would buy CDs from our favorite artists and if we wanted the song on our computer or on our portable music player, we would rip them from the CD. And we could also make our own playlists by burning songs into a CD.
