They ate their dinner slowly in order to savor it, the pleasant conversation accented by the clink of forks and glasses like a dinner choir. He enjoyed that sound the most along with Sophie's smile. It was all too sweet to miss. After they finished the last of the food, they moved to the couch for a while, watching tv with Pedro until the night finally settled all the way in. Tai set his second, and now empty wine glass aside. "Let's just stay here a little longer, Kay?" he murmured into the soft silence they had been sitting in. Pulling Sophie against his side, he turned his gaze to the far wall. "I don't want to leave you tonight."
