The ancient egyptians, as I'm sure the Merkheti drank beer daily, it was their staple, and of course I am sure the aliens would wish to put their esteemed guests at ease with a flavour of their land. However, when shown the dull brown tinged drink, they frowned, how could this be worthy of their grand party!? So, they did what comes naturally to a futuristic space alien, they got molecular, they broke down the drink in to its elements, and reduced it to what appeared to be the clearest azure blue liquid, as for ice, well, when another seemingly innocuous liquid is poured in to the drink it immediately freezes in an elegant swirl. Surely this will amaze the guests!

To make simple syrup, just heat equal parts sugar and water until fully dissolved, then cool.
1/4 oz simple syrup
1/4 oz lemon juice
1.5 oz ginger beer
Champagne or other sparkling wine
Mix simple syrup and lemon juice in the bottom of a champagne flute. Add ginger beer and fill with Champagne.]
