At the beginning, you lose a bit more gold then you gain but soon you will be catching more often and you will get more expensive fish and make a profit. Don't worry, soon you will be making lots of gold!
Some of your fute fish are:
Natu - 4 gold! 2 gold profit
Redrib - 6 gold! 4 gold profit
Guppy - 9 gold! 7 gold profit
Those you will get in your 300's and up! Just keep fishing!
You will get more expensive fish later on too! I got one worth 17 gold, 15 gold profit all on its own!
