"They should work. Or, we could paint ourselves with glow-in-the-dark paint. No, we should do both."

There was a sparkle of laughter in Kairana's eyes. She was doing her best to keep the group cheerful, though she knew it wasn't much, because cheerful people are always easier to work with than grumpy people. And, besides, it made things seem a little less bad, without taking down any much-needed defence.
