_____Ever get tired of those rp’s that only look for the copyrighted characters? The ones that prefer them? Have a limited space for those wonderful made ups or no space at all? I did, so I decided to combine two things that I love, the X-men universe and made up characters. While copy righted characters of the Marvel and DC universe are welcome here, the main focus is on made ups. That girl with the ability to create fire? That boy with lizard like skin? That 1000 year old male character that all have two things in common, they are mutants, and you’ve been editing them to fit into other rp’s because you haven’t found one that will take them as they are. They are all welcome here, welcome to this X-men universe spin off rp, Hiding In Plain Sight.

Story

_____Mutants are an obvious reality, the various terrorist mutant groups and the X-men rule the TV, airwaves, and newspapers. The FOH are gaining members and growing to a force that could easily over rule the KKK. People are staunchly divided for or against mutants. The mutant registration act has been voted in but there is always a picket outside the gates of the White House against it. The rest of the world tunes in to the chaos and uproar of the United States and some copy their example while others huff and continue on their own way.

_____The un-lucky (or lucky) few that are cursed or blessed with the gene that separates them from their mothers and fathers, from their friends and classmates, are taking varied routs to stay un-detected. Some of the lucky few that seem no different on the outside then before their pubescent Pandora’s box opened continue their lives best they can like a normal human being. Some stand tall and bear the brunt of their neighbours hate. Many aren’t so lucky or stable to pull either of these off and reach out for help. Some find schools or groups to join, such as the X-men, Magneto, or the many minor factions of mutant liberations. A large majority though are runaways; scraping together the best lives they can with the burden they carry, flocking to the cities to hide in the millions of nameless faces. They look for protection in anonymity, they look for a place to be safe and flourish, they look for a place in the seedy sections of the city to call their own.....

_____The mutants that have lost and found themselves in these alleyways and shady streets, banding together or standing alone, wanting to blend in or stand out and make a name for themselves reside here. This is THIER world....and this is their story....
