Brass approached the building with some concern. She was looking for a place to live; having left the care of her parents home just days earlier. With a molotov cocktail as a gift from her neighbours, she'd decided it wasn't safe for her to live at home any longer. Her parents were still loving and supportive...they just did it from across town, that was all.

She looked down the list of names at the building's front, and found the button for the superintendent. She pressed the button, and a voice came out, deep but polite. A man's voice. Brass cleared her throat. "Hello. My name is Catherine...I was just wondering if you have any apartments for rent?" she asked hopefully. Maybe he'd say yes before he saw her..at six foot seven, Catherine Brass scared most men who met her.
