Okay...why is it immature to not respond when someone doesn't know what to say? =/

Just because someone didn't respond doesn't mean they're ignoring you. It usually means they simply don't know what to say. What do you mean 'it wasn't a message like that?' People can be at a loss of words for all messages. Let's face it, we're not all fountains of knowledge and we're not all going to have a response for everything. We're human, not robot.

I think it's more immature to be bitchy to someone for having nothing to add than having nothing to add in the first place. No offense to some of the people in this thread, but everyone else has a life too. They don't always know what to say to you, or have the time to respond to you. That's life. Think about how they feel. Would you want to be bitched at for not being at everyone else's beck and call every day? xD

I understand really wanting to talk to someone and having no one to talk to can make you feel pretty crappy, but you have to understand that other people have things to deal with too. D=

If I knew that someone was seriously ignoring me, I might be a little upset. That is, if I actually saw them sometime during the day, in real life, and they were ignoring me. It would depend on just who it was if I minded it or not. For example, if it was someone I knew but wasn't really close with, like a friend of a friend, it wouldn't bother me much. If a close friend was ignoring me though, I'd be upset that they couldn't confront me with whatever is wrong and decided to clam up instead. Someone on the internet 'ignoring' me wouldn't bother me much. It may be a bit disappointing if I thought the subject was a good one, but I can get over that kind of thing easily. As for apologies, it would depend on how bad I messed up. If I did something really bad, I probably wouldn't stop apologizing until they duct-taped my mouth shut. If it was something small though, one apology will do.

A pet peeve of mine is when I'm trying to sleep and someone keeps calling me. If I don't answer the first time, I'm not available. Don't keep calling me, or I'll think something is seriously wrong and when I answer the phone and you just ask me 'what's up?' I'm probably seriously thinking about driving to your house to kick your butt. xD Another one that bugs me even when it's done to other people, is when someone disagrees and goes about a calm way of expressing it, but someone else will come in and say, "Calm down, man! It's not that serious!" This especially bugs me in debate forums. You're supposed to talk about why you disagree there! D=
