Uniforms started in our district only on elementary levels. Eventually uniforms reached the middle schools and it stayed at that for a while. This year I found out that our high school is going to implement uniforms next year. It doesn't affect me because I'm graduating this coming Saturday (YES!!) but I started wondering ... How is this going to affect the rest of the student body? The students have to pay for their uniforms, and I have no idea how much they will cost.

I think uniforms are silly only because it's a waste of money because I know a lot of these students put time and money into their clothing, only to have their only form of expression raped from them. I know families are going to be angry with the costs, but hopefully the school will implement some kind of payment plans for low-income families.

I only like uniforms for the idea that everyone is wearing the same thing, and there will be no rules being broken, such as short skirts, flashy blouses etc.

How many of you have had to wear uniforms? What do they look like?
What's your view?
