"You shouldn't care what they think at all; what's the point of friends if they'll only hang out with a fake you?" He smiled, "But yeah, it's something like that."
"How romantic, having your lunch on the roof today Jin?" A boy a few years older than Jin had appeared behind Shinn, and if they were lucky, Shinn would think he'd come up the stairs.
"Ah, Caiden..." Jin looked anything but please to see his bitter cousin at his school. Caiden had a similar complexion to Jin, however he was a bit beefier, larger across the chest and more muscular. While Jin might have been good at tack or swimming, Caiden was more likely to end up in football or wrestling. Of course, for vampires, muscle mass meant little. "I've already had m lunch." He said, shaking the empty juicebox pointedly. "Shinn, I think it would be best for you to go now, my cousin isn't the friendly sort."
"Relax Jin, I didn't come to cause trouble. I just though I'd let you know I'm enrolling. And true to your usual behavior, you were easy to fine. I just have to look at the highest point for you. You know what they say about angels and snobs liking high places... and you're no angel."
Jin didn't reply, but watch as his cousin backed toward the edge to make his dramatic exit. He couldn't let himself explain to Shinn why his cousin was able to fall several stories and live to tell about it, but damned if he had an excuse as to why not to watch. "Let's go Shinn." He said as he hurriedly pulled her to the stairs, tring to keep her back to Caiden without seeming too weird.
