As some movement came from near the front of the temple, Haruo snapped out of his dazed state, his gaze sweeping until it found the source of the motion. Once his gaze landed on a woman walking his way, a sparrow fluttering behind her. The royal purple of her obi draw Haruo's attention momentarily to her lower torso and waist. Half a second later he tore his gaze away and back to the woman's pale face to avoid appearing rude. As she got closer, Haruo remembered his manners and bowed low to the woman. Even though he felt like he was older than her, she did work at a temple, which he figured gave her more respect, thus a deeper bow.

"Excuse, ma'am, but is this the Ankoku Temple of Ryoshima Coast?" he asked while still in his bow. Once he felt sure she would of replied to his bow somehow, he straightened himself up, his hand went back to his mask, his fingers resting on it lightly. He onyx-colored eyes remained locked upon the woman's pale face, yet he tried to keep his gaze and expression relaxed to avoid seeming rude.

Haruo was sent here by his village chief. Ever sense his people began to feel an evil presence among Nippon, they had grown restless. Last month, the chief began to grow concerned since the presence seemed to grow in strength each day. He then asked Haruo to travel to various temples and villages throughout Nippon to see if anyone knew what was happening. So far, none of the villages he had passed so far had known anything, so the Ryoshima coast temple and the Sei-An city temple were his last hopes, really. He felt confident, though, because the evil seemed strongest here, so someone was bound to have noticed it by now and know something.
