As the temple woman began to speak of dream visions and the head priestess' casting of protective spells along the coast, Haruo began to feel a bit uneasy. He crossed his arms, hiding his hands underneath his crimson haori, the silk releasing a soft rustle as his skin brushed against the fine fabric. Dark eyes flashed in a worrisome manner. If the priestess was casting protective spells based off the interpretation of dreams, Haruo's gut feeling told him that things were pretty bad. As bad as, if not worse than, the time about a century ago when a sword was removed, releasing Orochi, which eventually led to the knowledge of some greater evil hidden in a sacred Ark. Haruo shuddered thinking back to the tales from those times. He had heard many of them from Oki when Haruo was a child and extremely interested in tales of old times. As a child, Haruo had always taken a great interest in Oki's tale, especially when he spoke of the white wolf that he helped.
Haruo was drawn back from his reflections of older times when the woman pointed to the temple and began to walk towards it. Haruo was careful to follow her with small steps so he would not over take her with his stride, for it seemed her kimono might hinder her walking speed. He kept his eyes trained on the ground around her kimono as he followed her slowly. His geta clacked softly on the earthy grounds around the temple. As they reached the temple entrance, he was sure to slip his feet out of the geta and step upon the temple's threshold, not wanting to step in an outer region where one was not supposed to without proper shoes on.
Glancing around the temple, Haruo took in a deep breath, yet his face remained absolutely serious. This temple was so much more elegant that the frigid one in his village. It surprised him a good deal. After taking in the temple's interior, he glanced back at the pale woman. "Alright, I sort of get what you were saying earlier, ma'am. May I ask how being in the temple will make your explaining any easier?"
