((They only speak to him at the moment. Im not sure if they are capable of talking to others - have not thought about it. Haha.))

She was so enthusiastic and well, alive. That was a bonus. With no company with the ability to speak he would... well. He was unsure. That would not happen - she would stay with him on the ship was all. Those spirits did talk, but never nicely. They came to punish, and they did. Trying to make him feel alone, not a hard task for someone whom lives forever.

He watched her reaction to them as they climbed above deck and got to their stations - he still focusing on steering his one love. Whom thankfully the spirits had not challenged him for once again. Though her words suddenly caught his attention.

"Your fathers kingdom? So your father is a king?" Talon looked into those sapphire eyes of hers, searching for an answer. "Id love to hear more of that if you would share." Talon nodded gently, knowing not to push the subject to hard. She already came aboard his ship - that was not a very mermaid thing to do.

"Dangerous?" Talon scoffed. "As long as you are on this ship - and with me. You need never worry about your safety here." Talon knew his ship was not that safe regularly, they fought often as she had just seen. But he had lived for a long time and his swordsmanship was unmatched. More experience then anyone that is for sure. Though guns were another story - point and shoot. He did nothing fancy there, nor did he care for them all that much. Pirates started carrying them a while ago - so he found that he should try to fit in with the times. Though he dare never change his ship - it looks the same ti did when he first had it.

Ironically, just after he spoke of her safety she took a tumble over herself and drew her own blood. One of those beasts turned its heard sharply and began to come towards them. Talon reacted by temporarily leaving the wheel to crouch down alongside her.

Grabbing her wounded hand, he examined it. Not too deep, but that was not the real problem - those things stayed below decks because everything about them was unstable. "Lets try not to do that again. Those things are easily excited by injury and pain.. sick beasts really." He smirked and lifted her to her feet, then threw her over his shoulder. He went for the stairs and left the ship to steer its self - though all of this would drain him of life. He would just perform a ritual sooner rather then later.

Though as he walked that one beast watched and shambled towards them, when they reached his quarters he set Azaela down on her feet and opened the door. A rule he had to break, but anything for the living remained in his room now. "Go ahead, I need a moment." He placed his hand on his sword and approached the beast whom seemed very hypnotized by the mermaids discomfort. He made a move to get towards her but the Captain had a sword arm to worship. His blade shimmered as it sliced the thing into pieces. First in half, then off with his head and arms - all before his body hit the ground. His sword quickly in its sheath, not to be exposed to anything for too long. No need.

Though that move had been a bad one, normally these things understood power. Yet now they looked to challenge it. Every one of them ceased their task and turned to him - glaring at him with their fiendish eyes. "Get to work." He barked - but they did not budge.

"You thought we would let you have this crew as replacement?" The female spirit let out a high pitched howl that rang in Talons ears. Annoying she devil she was.

"This is what happens when you disobey us - now you suffer the mutiny of your own dark arts." The male spirit chimed in with an obnoxious tone. Though not as annoying as that damned she demon.

"Good luck Captain." They both hissed quickly before they left his company.

This was not a good sign. He turned to the mermaid and picked her up once more - quickly entering his quarters and slamming the heavy door behind him. He placed her on a dusty chair that sat at a massive table that was draped in maps and amulets, books and scrolls. Magical devices.

Still that was not the concern, he grabbed the large hutch in the corner of his room and dragged it in front of the door. "A mutiny." Talon hissed sharply, those words disgusted him. He hated those who disobeyed him and this was the most extreme case. The ship had even ceased to move - damned spirits.

He turned to Azaela and quickly bandaged her hand with a black cloth. Cheery colours did not exist on this ship, nor did any sense of mercy from the spirits. He would never forget this. "We need to get off this ship..." His words caused him much pain - truly a thing he never wanted to do. Absolutely not, but she could not fight - and fighting those masses alone was a death wish. There was no way to ensure she, or himself, would be alive at the end of it. "Unless you can fight. We must abandon ship." Talons voice had a sense of urgency, and with reason. "Could you swim us both to somewhere safe?" She would no doubt be the superior swimmer.

But those thoughts of safety, were over run by his thoughts of dread - and the feeling any captain would feel at a time like this.

Those beastly creatures flailed their arms through his aged windows, and banged upon his door. They moaned excessively and scratched at the black wood. Not the ship... They were damaging his ship. But there was nothing else to do - this day would be marked in his mind forever. The spirits would truly pay for this one. But as he listened to the wood of his ship be scraped apart, layer by layer his heart sank and he felt the urge to throw up. It was different in battle with another ship. This was at the hand of his own crew.

This day marked the beginning of those dam spirits end.
