"Likewise..." Afanassii responded, bowing a bit lower than before. Perhaps it was merely his paranoia from his predicament, but he took note of the white-haired man's omission of his purpose in the palace and he lingered his eyes on him a bit more, hoping to give the impression that he was expecting the man to say more.
