Clark turned his head to the sound of her voice. He laughed under his breath, putting the pipe down after a smoke or two. He peered over her and mused, "Sorry, princess, but you're not where you think you are." He sat next to her on the bed, readying himself for some sort of tantrum or overreaction from her. It had only been a day and she thought she was back home. He guessed she could treat all of this as just a dream. He would probably do the same, if he were in her shoes.

Clark could wake her up but he figured she was better off asleep until he figures out how and what to do about her. If she was hungry, there was already food on the table, and his room was stocked with enough books and such to keep her entertained, if need be.

Ariel had dozed off in the few minutes after the sun came up. She was leaning against his cot, with a damp rag in hand as his voice roused her from her short sleep again. She turned around to prepare to wipe him down but there he was, wide awake. Seeing that he felt a lot better than before, she smiled. One of her more genuine smiles, only because she knew that she was able to make him feel better. Maybe she could take this up as another profession, but lately people wanted certification of such matters.

At the mention of a sponge bath and a smile, Ariel snorted. "It's good to see you're all better... Gerard, is it?" She got up and stretched a bit, her muscles a bit aching from sitting against such hard surfaces. "I might take you up on that offer, but we'll see," she mused, adding a little wink. Better work her charms now that he's lucid enough to notice.
