Mara was contemplating what she wanted to snack on. She no longer felt in the mood for baking, or junking out on anything really. Feeling like she just wasted a trip to get nothing, and not wanting to look suspicious, she decided she'd get a bag of chips or something. She jumped and turned her head quickly as a very large heavy-built man pardoned himself as he headed toward the coffee station.

She edged back out of his way. "Sorry." Glancing toward the door, she turned, grabbing a bag of chips and heading to the front. Before she reached it though, a hooded figure dressed in black suspiciously walked up to the front counter and quietly gestured to the owner, who looked suddenly startled and fearful about the hooded man. Mara, being short, ducked behind the aisle, apprehensively glancing around. She might be jumping to conclusions because she didn't traverse often at night. Yes, that could be it. She sighed, slightly in relief, as the hooded figure turned as if to leave. But instead he pulled a gun, lowering his hood. "No one move."
