Her gift finally finished, Kakoa looked up at the sky to note that the time of their meeting was growing close. He slipped off the rocks and back into the sea. He dove under the water before striking out swiftly and strongly back towards the shore where he had met Alice. He stopped a few times to frolic with whale calves and another time to play with some sea birds. Leaping out of the water and grabbing playfully at them as they would swoop low over the water. Before long he was in site of that stretch of shore where he had met Alice. He stayed out to sea, where any passing human wouldn't spy him, sea green eyes watching for the dark haired woman.
