She glanced at the opening doors, out of habit more than interest who would enter the inn at such an early hour - perhaps a guard fresh off his shift or a drunkard coming for first early fill - but the sight was intriguing enough to keep Marwolaeth's gaze. A drow, hm? She knew a bunch, but all of them scuttled about their dirty business underground, spewing hateful nonsense and trying to trick others on every corner. So, this one was of different type, or liked to pretend to be, if no one threw him out of city.

Carefully, woman valued him. He had bunch of packages, so he must either be travelling through, back from or to Circle of Temples, or live somewhere nearby and come trading. And he must have felt her stare, turning around and giving her a similar valuing look. Their eyes met for a moment, hers clear of any bias towards his race that could be expected from someone looking so intently. In Laeth's opinion, everyone were equally bastardy, no matter the origin.

He smirked at her and Marwo narrowed eyes, "now, what are we so smug about, hm?" To say that she was in irritable mood that night would be an understatement and this just might have become a great chance to vent, one way or another. She gulped down last bit of wine and moved over to the bar, sitting down and pushing goblet and a coin towards the bartender: "Refill, and with something better this time, if there's anything of quality in this 'grand establishment'. I'll add another coin, if it satisfies me." In truth, she wasn't so interested in the drink, not really planning to finish it, but predictably, it would grate on the man's nerves while the shine of coin would make him comply. He grabbed money and goblet, then scurried off to kitchen and wine cellar.

Then, she idly turned her head towards the drow and first thing that really 'hit' her was scent of strawberries. Next was that he had blue eyes, quite unlike all other dark elves she had seen, but it fell to second place on importance scale. Strawberries! It had been a while since she had had them and, honestly, until this moment, Laeth hadn't even realized how much she wanted some. But it was not unlike her to be struck by sudden desires and urges.

She shifted slightly in the seat, adjusting bag in her lap and toyed with her coin purse at belt under cloak, green eyes gaining a mischievous glint as if she was considering something a lot more interesting than obtaining few berries. "Would you be willing to share that berry bounty with a lady?" the woman inquired with a slight grin. If he hesitated or showed any signs of refusal, she continued smoothly before the man even managed to voice it: "For some coins."

Meanwhile, her mind already spun how he might come to use for her otherwise. Some information, perhaps? Surely, someone would have seen that strange creature that had bested her, even if temporarily. Meanwhile, two riders came closer and closer to the inn and plotting would come to halt as peace shattered...
