Trey's sharp ears picked up the sound of voices along with other smells. Alcohol? Good, then he picked the right location. He didn't much care for the taste of intoxication, but he found those people easiest to catch. Humans had a funny theory that a vampire could mesmerize its prey and drink so easily. If such a vampire existed, it was not him. Surely enough, a fair amount of people showed interest in him, but he couldn't seem to lure anyone in much of anyone, especially with words. The second he opened his mouth, he ruined it. Drunks really did work best.

Stopping along the side wall of a club, he eyed a group of three that just walked out the door. One of them had a bleeding elbow, the scent that drew him here. No way to separate one out for a kill though. He hadn't been playing at this long enough to perfect his art. Or did he just not care? He didn't exactly get turned yesterday, but still. Sighing, Trey was about to slink away when the open door gave him a good earful of the music playing inside. He couldn't help himself and paused for a listen.

Whoever played did so with a soulfulness that Trey couldn't ignore. Over his years, he continued to develop his love for melodies and different instruments he never got to experience in his life. No one took the time to teach him music until after he became a vampire and even then, he found little chance to play. What would it be like to spent a lifetime perfecting such a skill as this? Trey had almost wandered in the doorway when a drunk stumbled right into him.

"Pardon!" the young man exclaimed, almost knocking Trey over. He grunted back and retreated a few steps, but the drunk followed after him. "Have you seen a tall blonde?" he asked. Trey hadn't. He opened his mouth, almost said as much, then amended himself.

"...Yes. Here." With that, he led the man back behind the pub.
