In another cell not far away,a young silver haired girl sat on the floor of her room, staring out the barred window at the slowly brightening sky.Her face was sad, though no tears were shed, and she was wrapped in a straightjacket. She looked tired,as if she had been awake all night in that same position. As a matter of fact, she had been.Hikari never slept much these days, always kept awake by the pain, and the nightmares, and the knowledge of what lay ahead for the next day.Her only idea of the outside was that small rectangle of sky that she stared at every night, watching the distant stars and moon as they moved freely through space. Her stomach rumbled, and she knew that her handler would show up soon with food and a cold face,as always.Hikari was fond of her handler, even though he wasn't warm towards her or anything. He was the kindest person she had ever met in this place, sadly enough, and he never hurt her,and he brought food. She dreamed sometimes that in another world, they might have been friends-or maybe even more, though Hikari had only the vaguest notion of loving or being loved.

Down the hall and across from Hikari,Captain Todd Hunter stood outside a heavy metal door, holding a tray of food.Behind the door was a weapon, one of such power that,if used, the U.S. military would be unstoppable. This weapon was one of many. This weapon was a girl, nineteen years of age and wrapped in a straightjaket, whom Todd was responsible for taking care of.Her name was Finx, and Todd cared for her in more ways than one.The problem was,he had no way of expressing those feelings, since they weren't supposed to exist.Todd knocked on the door in the same way he always did-three knocks, pause, two knocks, pause, three knocks-so that Finx would know it was him,and slowly opened the door, wich was difficult since it was heavy and he had only one arm to open it with."Good morning,Finx.breakfast time." He said, greeting the girl.
