Hikari looked up into the cold eyes of her handler and nodded.She knew that her lack of sleep showed,and that it affected her test results,but she just couldn't help it.The nightmares were too bad.She didn't complain,though.How could she? She had never known anything else,and she probably never would.She stood up to let him take the straightjacket off,enjoying the feel of having her arms free.She took her food,like she did every day,but didn't start eating just yet."Sir...?" She spoke in her quiet,timid voice."Do you have nightmares?" She asked,feeling silly.Of course regular humans didn't have nightmares.Novas had nightmares because they were bad.Humans were good,so they couldn't have nightmares.At least,that's what she thought,and it was obvious enough that she thought it.
Todd smiled.He knew exactly how Finx felt about him-he had a cat at home that treated him about the same."Finx,you don't have to call me sir.You know that." He said,bringing the food into the room."Here,let me undo your straightjacket." He offered,setting the tray down in front of the young Nova.
