Pammy liked the mornings at school. No one had the energy to do anything that they normally did about third period, which usually involved picking on her and the others like her. She wouldn't call the others her friends, that'd be a lie. She didn't have any friends. Sure, she had friends growing up, but by the time one gets to their senior year in high school, they've found out who their friends are.

It was clear those other girls weren't her friends. I mean, yeah, she talks to them every now and then -- she's friendly to them, but never would she eat lunch with them or even think to spend time with them out side of the school's concrete walls.

She was the first to her first class, as always. She had murmured a good morning to her English teacher before slipping into her seat by the window over looking the football field. She plopped her brand new messenger bag down on her desk and unbuckled it, pulling out her latest book she had been reading as she adjusted her black framed round glasses. She tucked her hair behind her ears and continued on where she left off.

As the first bell rang, and then the warning bell, students slowly began piling in quietly, tired and hungry from a night of little sleep and a morning without the stomach for food. A few sniggered at her, even had the audacity to purposely bump into her desk and cause her book to fall from her hands and down to the floor while the one who bumped her desk stopped and watched her friend step harshly onto the book, flattening it to the dirty floor before Pammy could save it.

She sighed. Just another day in paradise.
