Harry actually had gone to the tower. He layed out on his bed, his map opened, so he could see if Malfoy was roaming about the tower, and while he did that he worked on his school work. He knew Hermione would have hid hide if he didn't at least try to do his work. Though he had more a chance passing Potion, now that Snape was teaching DADA.
Ron eventually stormed back into the common room. He couldn't believe his little sister was with someone like Dean.
