Personality:

Kaou is a nice polite woman with nerves of steel. Off duty and outside of battle, she is a well manner, sweet woman who loves to garden and offer flowers to people. On duty and in battle, the niceness gets shoved aside for a ruthless and efficient warrior. She not a cruel person; any death by her hands is done swiftly and with mercy.

Kaou is one of the older Knights in Shinrei. In the aftermaths of the Rebellion, she was one of the few in the army to survive (only a Bishop at the time). She previously held the rank of General before handing it over to Seika. These days she's semi-retired, enjoying her marriage and raising her children. Hotaru lets her maintain the gardens (something Kaou is always fussing over) and whenever Seika needs someone to whip the newbies into shape, she calls Kaou.

In a sense, Seika gets her efficiency from Kaou.
