Collin noted his moment of silence before he answers but thought little of it. Surely, when Dr. Rider didn't check in thy would be here, just like he said. Why wouldn't they? He only wished he had been able to give more details to his parents, other than they were going to some tropical island to find a rare bird. They wouldn't even know to worry until a month or so from now when he didn't return home, which was far longer than he was sure they'd survive on this island by themselves.

"Yes, let's do the best we can." Collin agreed as he worked with Dr. Rider to get the crates to shore, some had cracks, water probably getting in, he hoped the contents would be safe though. As much as he cared for the pursuit of science he would probably cry if these crates were filled with all the tools and stuff they planned to track, records, and document the Splitwing. The crates proved difficult, as they were waterlogged and bobbing in the small waves off the shore. Soon he was grunting and sweating, even in the cool water, the sun was nearly overhead now beating down on them. Yet they needed all these crates to shore so he continued on.

May managed a small laugh but it turned into a cough, her throat still raw from all the salt water that had been forced into her as the storm tore the ship apart. "I can look at it while we wait, to see if they bring in any medical supplies..." She offered, while she was no medical professional, at least she could do something useful. At the thought of being useless she looked down at her leg, sighing deeply. How would she be able to help them if she couldn't even walk?
