Tay responded excitedly, changing the subject as the other woman brought up a visit. She usually did, which was odd considering she was normally so open about everything. She also didn't talk about her family very much or even home. She preferred talking about school and parties and the like. She just had more fun doing so. She had little interest in those back home, and they had even less interest in her. It wasn't that they hated each other. They just had little use for her, the child of her father's first marriage to a now deceased mixed blood woman and she had no use for their secretive nature.
