Ayla awoke to the sound of someone talking through some time of device, like a intercom. She couldn't quite understand the first bit but her hearing soon was clear enough for her to understand of Doctor Lum. Ayla raised herself up off the earthen floor and looked around, there about 19 other cages just like her...wait a cage? Ayla ran to each wall of bars franctically trying to wiggle the bars as if that would let her out. She all but drowned out the voice until he said something about a ASY-Project, what the hell was that? What was Doctor Lum going about and who was this Doctor?
Special? Ayla thought to herself as she slid down on some bars sitting upon the dirt. Scared and confused, she soon started to dig. Slowly at first, then faster but not too fast she didn't want her dirt flying out of her cage, she might need it or something. Ayla stopped for awhile to take a break, but she continued with her frenzied digging it took her a long while to reach what she thought would be a safe depth to dig under the cage but she was wrong. Searing pain took hold of her fingers tips, specifically the middle one and the ring finger on her left hand. Quickly drawing her hands back and letting out a yelp.
Ayla looked over her left hand and noticed the nails had bent backwards but were still intact. She could tell by the horizontal white line on her nails. One of them, her middle was actually bleeding alittle, she must have detached it alittle. "My god this hurts... sooo much...ngh" She mumbled to herself as she held her hand and sat in the corner of her cage.
