He felt foolish, one should be used to if not expecting death....right? It had merely caught him off guard, as the pounding settled in his head. He took the hand, slowly standing. Flinching, his body was deffinetly protesting this event. She had mentioned the rover, and loading it with whatever was left after their impact, before finding the others. He nodded to her, hoping now the others would be alright. Honestly, there was no way of knowing which had ended up safe, and which were like this man. There was little point in letting his thoughts get ahead of him, the main thing was to focus on now.

He took a breath, and nearly wished he had not. The rush of air only succeeded in bringing a sting to his senses, as well as an increase to the nausia already in his stomach. He looked to the female by him, tempted to say something, but held his tongue. A waste of time. That was what he was told such frivilous words were, a soldier was to do his duty, that was all. That was what he had been trained for, that was why he was still alive. He seemed to become still for a moment, an odd slightly distant way coming about him. He moved past her, back towards the mangled remains of the ship. Task one was to locate the rover and any supplies.

He scanned over the side of, or what was left of it, of the craft. There was a lot of damage to the outside of the hull, but not really to much of the insides. The seats had been closer intact, so with any luck, what would have been in the cargo hold might be as well. He moved to the back, though here it was a bit burried by debrie and dirt. He took ahold of a sheet of metal, pulling it away from where it was. The thing was heavy, and his body was indeed protesting once more. He felt more like someone was trying to pull his muscles off.

He ignored it for now, focusing on the task at hand. He managed to move it enough on his own, to where it more of slid the rest of the way off. He moved back, out of its path, to expose the back cargo area of the plane. He took a moment to allow his body to stop screaming at him, before he took a better look inside. A lot of things had been thrown around and damaged, a few items sparking at him as he looked around.
