As they got closer to the carriage Mitch struggled less, not for a lack of determination but rather a knowledge that struggling would do very little at this point. It was like trying to swim against a rip tide. The best thing to do was ride it out until there was a safe spot to escape from. Mitch would wait this out. Even still it was infuriating to once again have people gawking at the expensive trophy they all believed Mitch to be. Elves weren't trophies, they were living thinking being and they did not deserve this. Mitch looked around and saw a half-elf waitress being sexually assaulted by the man she was serving and Mitch jerked at the chain again, a little more strength in it this time. Half-elves were treated like shit and even Mitch knew that. If they didn't have their papers proving they were half-elf they could also end up in slavery. Mitch hated seeing anyone treated like that, but who was going to step in on behalf of a half-elf. People thought they were dirty. Mitch pulled again but was pushed towards the carriage.

Having been focused elsewhere Mitch was thrown off balance and stumbled into the carriage, face first with a groan. The collar sent waves of electricity shooting through Mitch's body and a hiss escaped previously closed lips. Humans really were monsters. Looking up at Thaddeus Mitch shot him a glare. This was not the end of it for him.
