Recipe: Black Ice Cream
So um, I think it's interesting to make black ice cream. I am not totally in love with their choice of coloring / flavoring though. She uses activated charcoal in this recipe, claiming that it is a great detoxifier and helps prevent hangovers...which sounds great and all, but does it actually taste good?? I don't know firsthand, but the ideal of eating charcoal-flavored ice cream just doesn't sound very appetizing. On the other hand, I agree with some of the comments in which people suggested just using black sesame for both the coloring and flavoring. And I guess, if you still want the detoxifying and anti-hangover properties, you could always add some activated charcoal in if you wanted to. But the black sesame could serve as the main flavor.
