Jesse kept his eyes mainly on the monsters milling about beneath him. They knew he was just above them. Just out of reach. He knew they knew. It was probably scent that they hunted by, he wasn't sure their glassed over, dull eyes saw very much. They would probably move on after hours of just being under him. Maybe faster if something distracted them. He did glance up quite a bit as well but it still seemed that there was nothing on the roof. Or if there was, it hadn't realized he was there.
It was a good hiding place, but it was also a terrible hiding place. He could easily be trapped here, if there were more on the roof. Jesse gave a soft little sigh. He could shoot some of them, to clear a path, but the loud noise might bring more. The young man would just have to wait, if they were still there when the sun rose, he'd make his way to the roof and maybe down the other side of the building. That seemed like a good, solid plan.
He took a drink of water from his canteen. There were a few unopened bottles of water in his pack that he had managed to get from a grocery store he he had passed. Jesse hadn't gotten as much stuff as he would've liked from that store, because zombies had chased him out, but he had managed to get some things. Definitely water and some non perishable foods.
Jesse pulled a can of canned meat, probably spam, from his pack and slowly opened it. Pulling the pop top off slowly so as not to make too much noise. Just in case it brought zombies down from the roof on him. The top off, he threw the little aluminum rectangle at one of the zombies under him. It did nothing of course, but it amused him as it hit the things head and made it move around in a circle, swinging it's arms at whatever had touched it.
Quietly he munched on his dinner of spam while keeping an alert eye out. The sun was even lower now. Soon it would be too dark to see much of anything, unless the sky decided to honor him with a full moon.
