An uneasy look flashed over Kai's face a second before he forced the emotion away. "No, I do not eat meat," he said as his face closed off. It was a bit more than being vegetarian. He couldn't even remember what meat tasted like since he had sworn off of it at a young age.

He made a mental note about asking for a spare key, but his head was already a clutter of mental notes that tended to go straight into the recycle bin. He wandered into the living area, feeling the need to move his legs, then looked back at Axsher. "Aren't you strangely nice?" It wasn't often that Kai found himself associating with that sort of person. Maybe an occasional lover tried to help him out, but it felt a bit like babying. Being unused to it, Kai didn't know how to react. "But you're kinda weird too. Good. I don't know how to talk to normal people."
