The kingdom of Trehblue was built of greedy, greasy, sleezebags. Thaddeus had recently come to this conclusion. He no doubt, had been a founding member of this mentality, but it made bile rise in his throat now, hatred burning all the way down to his perfectly groomed nails. Golshrend served the wealthy well, but not the outcasted. He could taste that bitterness in his mouth as he walked down the perfect streets of gray stone made smooth by the constant travel of horses and caravans. Every day some new novelty made its way into the hands of this city. He could afford almost anything he wanted and then a second for fun. However, today he wished to squander his meaningless cash on a very specific thing.

The Gilded Cages knew a reputation that crossed the seas. As a native of this city though, he knew it better than just the rumors. Once, he bought a Caldonion horse, known for its duel horns of four feet in length. The most savage of wild horses, few would dare to tame one for personal use. He did that though only to have it shot by a rival hunter intent only on the easiest path to the top. That rival won the hunt of the day, but lost every monetary asset to his name the next. Thaddeus smirked there in the middle of the street, not caring who stared. There were many perks to heading the trading guild and generations of old money underneath his feet.

Though a man of only 5'10" tall and a slimmer build, the sharpness of his features and the deadliness to his smirk made him imposing. That and the quality of his clothes adorned in precious stones and silver threads that offset the otherwise black ensemble. Even walking into a luxury store like the Gilded Cages, he drew eyes. Or was that his reputation? Perhaps the heavy hood that hid his pale face and sharp biting mahogany eyes? The cloth tossed over the bottom half of his face blurred much of his identity, but not all of it even if he wore no insignias. He looked like trouble and he knew it.

"Take me to the first floor," Thaddeus ordered the attendant watching the front door. A quick flash of his wallet sent the girl nodding. He left no doubt that he could afford what he wanted.

"Right away!" the girl gasped. With that, she took him to the elevator that looked no less adorned than the rest of the building. As Thaddeus waited for the metal box to rise, he found himself grinning yet again. Indeed, there was one thing here that he could get nowhere else. And he intended to use it to his very best advantage.
