Nothing happened, we just talked sometimes." she shot Nemiah a cold look as she spoke to Asima, "We weren't even friends really, just strangers who happened to meet once in awhile. You may go ahead and tell Eshe everything is fine. We'll just be out of your way." she took Jacob's hand and curtly turned to walk off.

Nemiah was at a loss for words as he watched his secret little life suddenly plummet down a canyon. He couldn't think of a single thing to say, there was no salvaging this moment that he could see. He could only stand there and watch as she disappeared into the crowd once more.
