Count Victor Nightengale

Running a hand through his hair, Victor sighed. He glanced up through the long silver bangs that hid icy electric blue eyes. His hair still wet from the shower, his reflection masked from the steam on the glass. He tilted his head a bit, before he stood up straight. He ran a hand through the front of his hair once more, before letting the towel slip to the floor. He stepped into the dark bedroom and over to the closet.

Pulling out a white suit, he pulled the pants on. Pulling on a black dress shirt, he buttoned up the front. He pulled the coat to his suit on next, the long back brushing the back of his knees. Picking up a red and white scarf from the dresser, he slid it under the collar of the coat, tying it like a tie in the front. Next came the boots, slipping one foot before the other into them.

He pulled on a pair of black gloves as well, before moving over to the dresser mirror. His hand slipping a small pair of wire rimmed glasses on, before his eyes slid over his appearance. Not a thread out of place. Pleased, he pulled his long hair back into his usual ponytail. The front being stubborn as always slipped out, framing his face. Finished, he moved to the door.

His hand paused on the knob for a moment, as his eyes slid back to the dresser. He had almost left without if. He walked over, picking up the silver chain from which a star pendant hung from. His eyes watching it lightly spin for a moment, before he slipped it into his pocket. Lingering a moment later, he then made his way out of the room. The trip to the company building was not long, he decided to walk today.

He gained a few glances from people from his appearance, but he was used to this. He cared little about it anymore. Their feelings, thoughts or opinions of him were no concern. He could feel it before even walking inside, the darkness. Being one of light, he was more sensitive to changes in darkness around him. He noted the empty assistant desk. So, his feeling last night had been true.

The other had been out and about. He chuckled, pressing the button to the elevator. The others would be above him, but his destination was down below. The elevator did not have buttons to show any of the sub levels, no one knew that they were there. Well, other than those who worked here on the true mission. He slid his key card in a slot by the buttons, a light by it flashing red for a moment, before going green.

The elevator began to lower. He had no interested in checking in at the moment, in honesty, he was more interested in getting to his experiments. On behalf of Bazel, he was testing his corruption abilities on various sources, as well as testing a few things. He was a doctor, scientist and more for the dark beings who resided within this place. The door opened, two familiar forms at the door. Two massive zombie like dogs.

He knew them well, they were pets of Bazel's. From their jowels, a red substance leaked. He frowned, stepping back from them. "Blasted beasts....keep your slobber away from me" he edged around them, the two of them panting at him a bit. Shuddering, he felt a bit ill at the sight of it. Disgusting in his opinion, the animals really should be trained better. He was not going to be cleaning that up. It was odd, being a scientist and such, one would have to be accustomed to getting their hands dirty.

Although he was, Victor hated it, especially blood. Making his way along the hall, he walked into a large room at the end. His lab, the lights flipping on instantly. State of the art, the place was spotless. Everything neat and in its place, he walked over to his desk. Pulling out a key ring, he slipped one into one of the desk drawers. Opening it, he pulled out a journal. This one was only one of many, in which he kept his work. Flipping through the pages he sighed a bit. Many of the latest experiments were failures. He was working on trying to refine the twin's blood and the corruption power.

If he succeeded, they would have one powerful weapon and tool on their hands. All of the trials though so far had caused the subjects to die. Humans were such fragile things, they could not stand up to the testing. It was a shame though, but he had to admit that he liked the work. It was interesting, tinkering and seeing what made things tick. The two dogs came in, laying by his desk. His eyes flickering to them for a moment, before he slid into his seat and got to work.
