Adam wasn't startled by the abrupt intrusion of his space by this... stranger. The first emotion he could register was disappointment.

"And you're..." Not Evelyn. His tongue didn't finish the sentence and the words just died on his tongue. HE couldn't figure out what thoughts were going through his head. Sadness? Anger? Fear? This person smelled so much like her, how was it, that they smelled so alike when this man... this very young man probably had no relations to Evelyn. It was odd. Still, his curiosity was suppressed by this horribly, heavy despair.

Adam slowly set down the violin and stared at the person in front of him with intensity in his eyes, trying to find all of the answers to his questions in those eyes of his. He couldn't read the stranger and let out a soft sigh when the disappointment kicked his ass again.

"Why do you smell like that...?" He wasn't really thinking when he asked that question. He wasn't really meaning to ask it, instead the words rather slipped out. He wasn't really asking the person in front of him, rather, he was asking a rhetorical question. Adam felt awkward, why did this stranger smell like her? Why was he feeling nervous and suddenly really, very protective of this young man? Something about him made Adam feel an overwhelming security in his presence. Something Adam couldn't quite place.
