The complete abnormality of the situation made it awkward for Adam to compose himself. He almost got offended when the stranger suggested that he smelled as well. He'd never considered that he had any sort of strange smell, not unless one would count him smelling like Evelyn. Then, he put two and two together. He could only smell Evelyn after he was turned, maybe this stranger didn't smell like Evelyn... But they smelled like,

"A vampire!" Adam eyes went wide and his jaw dropped. He thought he'd go the rest of his long, painful life without ever meeting another vampire. It was exciting and scary at the same time. Adam was a little relieved, knowing he wouldn't be the only one to spend an eternity on earth, cursed to drink blood and lurk in the shadows. "You're cold." Adam stated. He turned away from the stranger to dig through his haversack and pulled out a sweater. It was the only one that Adam owned, he traveled light when he moved homes, after he had little choice.

He offered his sweater to the stranger, this young man didn't look like he had very many items with him, didn't look like he was going anywhere in particular and didn't look as though he belonged anywhere. Adam felt compelled by compassion to help, though he didn't want to admit that his heart went out to this young man, whom reminded him so much of his lost love.

Adam was never very good with formalities. Still, he thought to introduce himself would be a decent start. "I'm Adam." And that was all he said.
