"Traveling." Adam repeated. He didn't feel the need to explain more, he didn't know Trey well enough, and simply the fact that he was another like him that didn't automatically equate to trustworthy. Still, Adam was more interested in Trey than he was in those horrible, murderous humans. Trey looked so young, it made Adam question if he was a newborn vampire or if he'd been turned at a young age...

Adam snorted when Trey sounded defensive. He was only curious... one could even go as far to say that Adam wanted to help Trey. The young man looked lonely... and in a sense, Adam was lonely too. Adam didn't mean to sound like a jerk by picking on the way Trey looked, still, Adam couldn't understand how what he said may have possibly offended Trey. Adam chose to ignore Trey's little snarky question.

A flashing red light in the far distance made Adam's blood run cold. He needed to get out of Calais and quickly. As much as he wanted to stay and pick Trey's mind, he knew that soon the police would be looking for him and would probably question him. This wasn't the first time he'd messed up. He knew the routine pretty well by now, still, he was always afraid that one day they'd discover his secret and kill him in cold blood like they did Evelyn. Humans may have come a long way, but they were still the same evil, heartless zombies that were afraid of all that they couldn't understand.

Adam was tempted to rip the sweater from Trey's shoulders and walk away back towards the harbor in hopes of finding a way out of this city... But Trey looked warm, and though Adam didn't show it much, he wasn't heartless. "It's not safe here for someone like you." Adam said as he tugged on the straps of his haversack, slowly walking away from Trey. As he walked he looked over his shoulder and spoke, "I'd suggest leaving."
