Kai fell asleep eventually without having drawn anything more. It was still impossible. He didn't know what was blocking him, but the fantasy world he wrote was something he needed to stay grounded, as contrary as that sounded. His desk lamp shone unnoticed on his sleeping form that slumped over the stack of empty white paper. He may have needed the sleep, but he needed to draw more. Not just because it was his job, or his manager said to, but because he needed it for himself.
