I voted pirate, yes I am a pirate (or at least a virtual pirate).
Pirates are better because they were known & were famous, & stories are still told about them.
I mean Calico Jack Rackham's ship had 2 women who were part of his crew, they were named Mary Read & Anne Bonny.
When their ship was attacked & eventually taken by the authorities it was Read, Bonny & one man who were the only ones holding off the attack of the boarding party. The rest of the crew & their guest were hiding in the hold. Read shot into the hold when they wouldn't come up to fight.
