The other seemed a bit surprised at the smile, and the kindness, Akio could see it in his eyes and on his face, despite trying to hide it. He let his own smile fade a bit, adverting his eyes for a moment. The other speaking, he gave a small nod. He spoke as if agreeing in a way with what Akio had said, saying music captured something that words did not about a person. He glanced sidelong at him for a moment, so what did his music say about him then… He met his gaze a bit, as Darius began speaking of where he had learned. His father ran a music shop? So it was true, at some point he had been indeed bound to the world of man. He nodded slightly, allowing the other to speak.

The memories seemed to affect the other, the way he reacted made thoughts shift within Akio’s mind. He watched him still, taking in his movements and words. He then began to mess with the music once more, and Akio’s curiosity was sparked as he placed a new set of music upon the piano. His eyes moved over it, as the other proposed a duet. He said since being alone, he had not had the opportunity to play such arrangements. Akio’s eyes flickering to him for a moment. Why propose such a thing with a human? The true reasoning behind all of this was still unclear. Not knowing what his motive was, Akio could neither relax nor remain tense. He seemed to be calm, and composed still on the outside.

That was how he would remain, as he nodded to the demon. “Very well…” He had not played with another himself before, since his father did not approve of such things, and he had few others who could or would take the time inside of the castle. On the training field, it was not as if he could simply ask another Samurai to take a break to play music with him either. He had had to lessen this side of him, to allow other sides to grow and form. The mention of playing with a demon in itself was almost humorous. What would another say if they saw? Man or demon. It made his mind drift a bit, and a slightly hard feeling settling within him. How could he relax or sit here and play the piano with his captor.

The man was helping those who sought harm to Akio’s home, his kingdom and family. He felt a bit guilty to be honest, he knew they did not yet know of what had befallen him, but it would indeed cause trouble and strife. How could he casually play music with this demon, while a war brewed and rose outside the walls? He sighed a bit inwardly, reminding himself that it was best to understand his captor, perhaps by learning about him and from him, he could sway the man, or would have a better chance of getting out. He had sensed more to the demon than the beast he was showing before, and this might be the beginnings of it.

Then again, it was also still hard to decide for sure so early on if it was real or a ploy. Akio felt on some aspects, like they were going around in circles. It was still a game in a way, a deadly and dark one. He took a breath, and once more looked at the music, pushing thoughts from his head for now. It looked simple enough, but not too easy as well. He looked to the demon and gave another smile, in agreeance that he would partake within this duet he spoke of. Perhaps music would give him some more insight and help him with the thoughts that were plaguing his mind.
