Circa cheerily took the extended hand and hopped off her yellow-cushioned stool.
Adjusting her long blue coat, it had to hang just right, she looked up at Melusia with merry dark brown eyes.
"Thanks very much" she grinned. "Have fun at your party".
Turning to her dog she reached round the back of his shaggy head and clipped the end of the belt in place. The Aidl sat just underneath his jaw.
"Comfy Largo?"

Largo sat there twisting his head experimentally <I can hardly tell it's on at all> he sounded satisfied.
With a mischievous look in his eyes he poked Circa with his nose <I'm still hungry though>
As if to give truth to his words Largo's stomach growled again, louder than the first time.

Sighing Circa patted his head. "Okay, okay, we're going".
Giving her attention back to Melusia, she grinned ruefully. "See you 'round then".
Pulling her Aidl out of a random pocket, Largo swore she must have magically connected pockets, Circa looked closely for the first time at the piece of paper Melusia had just given her.
The words seemed to swim and no matter how much Circa squinted at them, she couldn't work out what they said.
Shrugging she fed it to her Aidl like Melusia had said and waited impatiently, unconsciously hopping on one foot then the other.
