Alis looked up in surprise at Octavius' outburst. "Rarely do I leave the castle grounds... So, technically, I don't have a personal guard..." He said, frowning slightly. "If I do leave, I'm with my parents and their guards..."

Alistarr's father nodded. "The real question should be, why was my son allowed to leave the grounds with only a squire to protect him?" He asked, looking to the older knights for an answer, all of them looking away from their king sheepishly. "Hmmph. I want a list of names of the guards on duty at the gate, and on patrol in the city this morning, by dinnertime."
