I don't necessarily love my medications, but I do prefer Trifluoperazine over other medications. I think that makes sense as to why it's not prescribed as much anymore. I was prescribed Trifluoperazine as an add-on to my other antipsychotic, Invega (Palperidone?) back in 2015. I don't know why they prescribed that to me instead of something more popular like Haldol. (I can't remember the generic name...) In the hospital they usually over-medicate people anyway... I took three antipsychotics in the hospital every single time I was there.
