Steel was angry and though he would never show it, he was scared. Scared meant anger. It was the only way to stay safe when he was the only person he could rely on. Even before getting caught, he had little contact with others. For so long he'd been alone and now, he didn't think he'd be alone ever again. Screams would be a constant companion. He saw guards pass by the cells often enough. It didn't take very long for him to figure out this prison was escape proof, so much so that even someone as stubborn as he wouldn't bother trying.

He was starting to regret spilling the rice. Steel was just thinking that when he heard someone approaching. He stood up to his full height, as pathetic as that was. He refused to look weak as a tall man with a guard stopped in front of the cell. Steel returned the hostile expression the man was giving him. "Message understood," he muttered. Considering that the dictations about food were said in English, they were obviously meant for him to hear.

But then came words he didn't expect. The second the guard left and he was alone with this strange man. This strange man that the more he looked at him, the more Steel got a weird feeling. He kept that off his face though. Of course he didn't know some Chinese dude. But...

"Dustin? How do you know that name?!" he exclaimed as second after the strange man had turned away. He didn't stop walking, but Steel still yelled after him. "Who the hell are you, bastard?!" It had been so long since Steel heard his birth name. No one used it anymore. His army files had been burned. For all intents and purposes, Dustin Steeler had died when the war started. Now, the only person left behind was Steel. He knew he didn't recognize the chinaman, but he was worried. The man said he recognized Steel. Was it even possible he had forgotten?
