Vlad withdrew his hand after Ajax licked the glass. His eyebrow quirked up again as Artemis looked to the number on his door. The male said nothing about being interrupted, nor did he respond to anything that Artemis said. In fact, it looked as though he wasn't going to say a thing. Instead, he silently stood and observed. Just as the silence grew uncomfortable, Vlad finally spoke.
"An agent," he said quietly. The lovely SFA technology made it sound as though there was no barrier between them. Vlad's low voice was smooth, and slightly husky. Honestly, he sounded like the villain from one of the public's films. "Enjoying your stroll through the inmates' halls?" Sarcasm dripped from his ever word.
Teal eyes flickered over Artemis again, a second analysis after hearing she was new to her position. A new agent. The SFA did love their recruits. Though Vlad hadn't moved, his threat level began to climb. As it did so, his gaze darted to Artemis' throat. "I do enjoy the company," he said. "Particularly when the company happens to be female." With a smile, the criminal turned his attention to his scorched fingers. He wasn't surprised to find that they'd already healed.
Once again, Vlad fell silent, his glowing eyes returning to hold Artemis' gaze steadily. As though expecting the agent to continue, the tall male clasped his hands behind his back once again.
