She could have been as quiet as she liked, but his ears caught even the faintest of movements. At the same time, she could not hide her scent. The smell finding its way to him in time. He sighed lightly, so she indeed intended on becoming a problem. He did not turn as he noted her approach. She moved behind, shooting an arrow soon enough into one of the books he had just recieved. Slender fingers moved to the book in question, lifting it as his eyes observed the arrow in the cover. She had told him to drop his weapons. The only visible one a sword by his hip. His appearance did not seem to allow for more concieled ones, but one never knew. Her threat was to shoot him next. If she had known what he was, why hesitate to land the first one at him?

Or was she not here to try and take his life? Perhaps she was naive enough to believe she could scare him off...kick him out peacefully. "What then?" he spoke, not really expecting an answer. His eyes turn to the woman in question. "Will you rid this place of me then take it for yourself? What would you do here?...What is your purpose?" he tossed the book back on the table, turning his form to the woman. Instead of obeying her, his hand moved to the hilt of the sword. He drew it in one swift movement. The blade made of a beautiful metal, markings down the surface. It was clean, like it had never been used, but it had indeed seen battle. "If you intend to shoot me then go ahead" he pointed the tip at her.

"If you believe such a task whatever you may have in mind will be so easy, then you are mistaken" his eyes did not move from her, "you are trespassing, so the move is yours. Fire...or leave....which path will you chose?" Both had concequences, both had challenges. He knew this, even for himself. But his resolve was firm. He had taken on men far more formidal than she appeared to be. Looks could be decieving however. He did not know who she was either. From her scent though, she was not of the house of Vladamir. On the contrart, she had the distinct flare to her of them. The Cain. A Vladamir could tell a Cain out of a crowd without having to know their lineage. Some said it was sort of an ability that had come from all of this. The ability to find those who they had brought under their rule.

Either way, it was clear that she was here for negative reasons. He normally was one to refuse to harm a woman, but with an arrow pointed at him and agression as well, he would protect himself. Not that honestly she could do much more damage than wounding him. Death would not come. The wounds would heal in a day or two depending. He would do what he had to, depending on how far she tried to take this. Like he had said, the move was hers. Would she stand her ground? From the look within her eyes, he doubted that she would be the kind to turn tail and run within the face of a challenge. That was fine with him. He had not had a challenge in awhile, something to drag his attention away from the silence within this place. He watched her, not moving from his position.

Though his eyes did not move, he was taking in details of her being. From her stance to possibly moves and openings. He would not throw the first attack, she had said that she would if he refused to comply. He had, now what would she do? It all lingered upon that. She was at least bold enough to confront him and not hide. Though she had tried to sneak up on him, she was here now before him. He had to give her credit for that. For even having the gull to come here in the first place. It was safe to assume she knew of the legends of this place. But what had she been told? How much was truth, or what was fiction to her?
